MARCI, the Manatee Amateur Radio Club, Inc., is an ARRL affiliated club and has been in existence
for over 70 years. Our members engage in a number of weekly, monthly, and annual events.

Monthly Meetings
On the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM ET, the club holds its General Membership Meeting. This is an opportunity for the Board of Directors to disseminate information, as well as to gather input from,and facilitate discussion amongst the club members. There is also an informational presentation each month, usually on a ham radio topic or a subject of interest to the members. During in-person meetings, the club typically provides a “Free” table for members to “swap” equipment and other ham-related items, for the benefit of others who may have better use for it.

Club Repeater
The club hosts a 2M repeater (call sign K4GG) in Manatee County. The repeater frequency is 146.640 with a 100.0 Hz PL tone. The repeater is System Fusion/C4FM (digital) capable and automatically switches between analog and digital modes based on the last transmission received.  All licensed amateur radio operators are welcome and encouraged to join us on the repeater!

PLEASE NOTE: This repeater system was damaged by Hurricane Milton and is currently at an alternate location. All local traffic and weekly nets are currently on an alternate repeater at 147.195 (+) 103.5 tone. This repeater supports analogue FM only.

Weekly Nets
Our primary weekly net for the club is the MARCI Club Information Net. This net occurs every Sunday
at 8 PM ET on the 147.195 repeater. Each member of the club is invited to check in, as well as any
guests who would like to participate in the net. After check-ins, each participant is given the
opportunity to share information or ask questions.
The club also sponsors another weekly net, the ‘MARCI Ham Traders Net’. It is held every
Wednesday at 8:PM ET on the 147.195 repeater. This is an opportunity to offer your excess equipment
for sale and/or to acquire amateur radio gear for sale by fellow club members.

In addition to the regularly scheduled meetings and nets, there are numerous other activities and
services that the club supports. Among them are:

Membership
Membership dues are $25.00 annually per person, with additional household members being $5.00
each for licensed amateur radio operator. Dues may be paid with cash, check or PayPal (on
website). Membership Applications can be found on the MARCI website. These may be e-mailed to
the Club Treasurer or mailed to the MARCI PO Box address also found on the website.

VE Sessoins:
We offer licensing exams on the third Saturday of each odd-numbered month.  Details are available on the home page.
